Will Haskett to Join The Advancement Center for Washington Township Schools and North Central Alumni as the new COO

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA (September 21, 2015) – President & CEO of the Advancement Center for Washington Township Schools and North Central Alumni, Shawn Collinsworth, announced today the addition of Will Haskett to their team, who will begin working on September 21st in the newly created position as Chief Operating Officer.

Haskett’s primary responsibilities will include working with alumni to gain support and affinity across the country, overseeing the grant/scholarship programs, leading the communications and marketing plan for the Advancement Center and assisting in the continual cultivation and support of alumni, parents, community members and key stakeholders to support the mission and vision of the Advancement Center.

Haskett comes to the Advancement Center from an extremely successful career as a seasoned freelance sports broadcaster. Most recently he worked as an on-air radio host and on-course reporter with SiriusXM’s PGA Tour Radio. In addition, Haskett, who got his broadcasting start at WJEL while at North Central High School, continues to work in radio and television for clients such as ESPN, Longhorn Network, Fox Sports, Turner Sports, the NCAA, Horizon League, Butler University and more. Will’s previous professional experience includes serving as the Director of Alumni Relations and Director of Communications for the Phi Kappa Psi National Fraternity. During his over seven years of service at Phi Psi, he doubled alumni involvement nationwide, developed an alumni affinity discount program, led the editing of a quarterly magazine to its first ever award winning status and building relationships and alumni support networks across the country.

Haskett is a 1999 graduate of North Central High School, serving as Class President his senior year, and received a Telecommunications degree from Butler University. “I am honored to be given the opportunity to serve a school community that has provided me so much,” Haskett stated. “I owe so much of who I am today to the opportunities that were afforded to me as a student in Washington Township and to be able to return the favor at this stage of my career was something I could not pass up. I look forwarding to connecting with so many of my alumni peers as we grow our resources together to provide the best public educational experience in Indiana.”

“We are extremely excited to have Will as a part of the Advancement Center team,” Collinsworth said. “His professional background, Washington Township roots, personal drive and tremendous energy will allow us to continue to further our mission and to provide meaningful impact to the Washington Township School community.”

Outside of his professional life, Haskett is proud dad, avid golfer and ardent storyteller. He and wife, Mandy, also a North Central graduate, are parents of two, Hudson and Gwyneth, and reside in Indianapolis, Indiana.
