Research shows that the best time to teach keyboarding skills is EARLY–before students have developed bad habits. “Typin’s Cool” is a teacher-led system to teach touch typing to elementary school students using easy to remember phrases. The grant was given to Allisonville’s Media Center Specialist/IB Coordinator Pam Weiger, who teaches the fundamentals to students in the Media Center. Students then continue to practice in their classrooms, building confidence and developing an important life skill.
